The unofficial end of summer is near and we are saying good-bye to the season with some events around Talking Rock.
Whether you feel like hitting the course for a game of golf or spending it in the kitchen perfecting your chili recipe, there will be something for you this Labor Day!
On Sunday, Sept. 1, from 4 to 8 p.m., we will be celebrating the holiday with a glimpse of fall during the Labor Day Fall Festival & Chili Cook-Off. It’s also Talking Rock’s 11th anniversary and we are partying with live entertainment and of course, the chili. The cook-off will be held in the afternoon and will be accompanied by a food station buffet through the Ranch House with tastings of delectable offerings. To accommodate this event, the Ranch House will be closing at 3 p.m. and traditional dinner service will not be available.
After enjoying pots of chili, community members will take to the course on Monday, Sept. 2 for the 11th annual Labor Day Scramble at 8 a.m. The All-American Cookout will be waiting for golfers with BBQ and fun. The Labor Day Scramble and All-American Cookout are available to Homestead members for $35, AZ or Ranch members for $55 and non-members for $70. If you only want to enjoy the Cookout, it’s $17.
Hope you join us to celebrate Labor Day!
