Member Events

At Talking Rock our members enjoy a wide variety of events and activities planned with their interests in mind. Here is a short list of our monthly activities. Membership at Talking Rock is required to participate.

March Member Events

March 1 – Community Hike

Meet with other hikers at COOP’s and enjoy a hike on one of the many trails in the community.

March 7 – One Player Scramble

Golfers get a rare opportunity that they always hoped for — two tries at every shot.

March 17 – St. Patrick’s Guest Day

Put a four player team of members and/or guests together for our annual “Shamble” golf event and take advantage of lucky clovers to better your score. After golf join everyone in the Ranch House for a St. Patty’s Day Party.

March 17 – St. Patty’s Day Party

Wear your green and party with us Irish style in the Ranch House. Chef Richard will be offering an all Irish themed food station buffet as we enjoy some Irish whiskeys and green ale!

March 21 – Off Site Hike

Fitness Director Pam Mitchell is organizing an off-site hike to one of the areas many trail systems.

March 22 – Community Bike Ride

Biking enthusiasts meet at COOP’s then head out on a ride through Talking Rock.

March 26 – Wine Pair Dinner

Enjoy and evening of fine dining with each course paired with an exquisite wine selection from a select vineyard.

March 29 – The Quaich

It’s team Celtic vs. The Rangers in our annual team competition using the format championed by the Honourable Company of Edinburgh Golfers. This is a 36-Hole match play competition using both a singles and foursome format with a hearty Muirfield traditional lunch in between matches.
 

April Member Events

April 2 – 23 – (Thursdays) TR Wine Institute

TR members take part in a unique wine based educational course presented by area experts.

April 4 – Easter Saturday “Kid’s Fest”

Families are invited to the Ranch Compound for a day of fun and activities to include a live petting zoo, Easter egg hunts, face painting, jump houses and a kid friendly menu.

April 5 – Easter Sunday Brunch Buffet

Celebrate Easter with a feast on the Ranch Compound. Chef Richard and the culinary team are preparing another fabulous buffet featuring a live omelet station, carved Prime Rib, seafood station and a host of sides, salads and desserts.

April 11 – “Heaven & Hell” Golf Tournament

Grab a partner for a two player, 18-Hole golf event featuring nine holes of “heaven” and nine holes of “hell”. Men’s, Ladies’ and Couples’ divisions are available with teams flighted based on handicap and participation levels.

April 12 – Culinary Society “Men cook for the Ladies”

Gentleman it is time to treat your lady to a culinary experience second to none. Chef Richard assists the men in menu creation, prep and execution of a fantastic dinner for the ladies.

April 13 – 15 – Greens Aerification

Golf Course Superintendent John Noyes and crew will be aerifying greens to better ensure both short and long term health during this important cultural process.

April 15 – Paella Night

Chef Richard will have his Paella pans hot and full of flavor in the Windmill Room of this all you can eat Spanish dining experience.
